Service Notice: WRUF-FM Infrastructure Enhancements
103.7, The Gator is one of north Florida’s oldest and most powerful radio stations, having first gone on the air in 1948. Since that time “The Gator” has been an important part of the fabric of our region and the Gator Nation. Between now and Saturday, February 14 you can expect some disruptions in WRUF-FM’s over the air signal as we embark on an exciting and important infrastructure resiliency project to replace the 43-year old antenna system that’s used to transmit The Gator’s 100,000 watt signal from coast to coast and the FL/GA state line to The Villages. This work will require The Gator to periodically broadcast from our auxiliary transmission facility at a lower power. As such, we encourage you to download the Gator mobile app where you can always listen to the station or stream the station through 1037thegator.com. We appreciate your continued support of The Gator as we work to ensure the Gator Nation has a leading radio station for decades to come that’s always there when you need it most. Thank you. Go Gators
