Revisiting the Dancing With the Stars Season 1 Finale 20 Years Later

Louis van Amstel is set to make a return to the Dancing With the Stars ballroom 20 years after the show’s launch. The former pro dancer was the first to join the show in its inaugural season and has fond memories of his time on the show, including partnerships with celebrities like Lisa Rinna and Priscilla Presley. Since leaving the show in 2012, van Amstel has focused on his LaBlast Fitness company and Dance Outside the Box nonprofit, helping people recover from trauma and rebuild their health. While he may not be as active on social media as other DWTS pros, van Amstel is rooting for the current cast and hoping for a life-changing season for his friend Elaine Hendricks.
