Adele to Make Acting Debut in Tom Ford’s ‘Cry to Heaven’

Adele is set to make her acting debut in Tom Ford’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel Cry to Heaven. The star-studded cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor Johnson, and Colin Firth, among others. The film is currently in pre-production in London and Rome, with filming scheduled to start in mid-January for a late fall 2026 release. Adele’s last album was 2021’s “30,” and she has been relatively quiet since completing her residency series in 2024. Ford, known for films like “A Single Man” and “Nocturnal Animals,” will direct the movie about a Venetian nobleman and a castrati singer in 18th century Italy.
