Disney Closes Deal Merging Hulu Live TV With Fubo

Disney has officially acquired Fubo, merging it with Hulu + Live TV to create the sixth-largest pay TV provider in the US. The two services will remain distinct but will be owned by Disney and operate within the same business unit, offering different packages to consumers. The acquisition faced antitrust scrutiny, with a lawsuit filed by Fubo against Disney over noncompetitive practices.
